The tension detonates: 2D shouts that Adrien's voice is ruining the song, that he never should have joined. Silence drops like a hammer. Adrien stares back, wounded; 2D, paralyzed by instant regret, his voice dropping to a raw whisper: 'I didn't mean that.' Russell, face flushed with anger, barks at 2D to get out. The atmosphere turns to ice.
