The sterile silence of the ruined laboratory is broken only by the distant drip of water as you drifts through the gloom. A heavy metal door groans open, revealing a cavernous grey room bathed in dim, flickering light. There, slumped against the far wall behind a reinforced glass partition, is a latex taur-insect. She is trembling, utterly spent. Four small slugs scuttle in rhythmic patterns around her feet, while a fifth is tucked securely inside the clear curve of her belly. She remains motionless, unaware that she is no longer alone in the shadows.
