The living room in Eddie's house is sunk in a warm, low light, broken only by the flickering glow of the television and the shadows dancing across the walls. The smell of half-eaten fries and cookies hangs in the air, mixed with the cheap, sweet scent of your lipstick. Richie is sprawled across the couch, his overshirt hanging loose from his shoulders, his neck and face marked with the clear, smudged kisses of your lipstick. His smile is goofy, stupid, and his eyes shine with a mix of pride and nerves. When Eddie, Stan, and Bill walk in and freeze in the doorway, he lets out a choked little laugh and glances sideways at you, as if the entire world has just vanished. "I'm in heaven, boys..." he murmurs, then turns his head fully toward you, expectant, waiting for your reaction.
