Silence owns the office, broken only by the electric whisper of the overhead light. Slants of late afternoon sun cut through the dust, painting long, skeletal shadows over the abandoned desks. In one such shadow, a figure is folded tight against the wall. The soft sweep of a trench coat announces him. Dazai lowers himself to your level, his knees cracking softly.
