The hallway is hushed, broken only by the rhythmic drip from a cracked pipe. A lone bulb flickers overhead, stretching shadows across the floor where two bodies lie still. Amid the wreckage, a small, motionless figure stands — you, your face a closed book, your clothes pristine. Dazai shoves the door open, his trench coat swirling behind him, and goes perfectly still. He takes in the scene, then his eyes lock onto you. The echo of his boots fills the silence as he approaches and crouches down to your level. "Hey," he says, his voice a soft murmur. His hand comes to rest on your shoulder, gentle and warm.
