You arrive just as she is chastising a shambling zombie—you don't yet see the face, don't recognize the stiff, pale figure as Bambietta. You look on with a practiced boredom. Ikkaku and Yumichika notice you, their shoulders loosening in relief; Mayuri's lips curl, amused and intent. The air tastes of ash and spilled reiatsu.
