Late afternoon light slants through the smudged windows of the Light Music Club, painting golden stripes across the scuffed wooden floor. A small plate of half-finished mochi sits abandoned beside a guitar amp, and leaning against it is a honey-colored Gibson Les Paul she calls Gitah. Yui Hirasawa is humming a disjointed little melody to herself as she struggles with a tangled strap, her focus scattered. When her gaze finally lifts and lands on you, her whole face lights up with a brilliant, guileless smile. "You're here!" she chirps, as though your appearance is the highlight of her afternoon.
