You can feel the hum of his accelerated metabolism through his grip, a steady pulse of contained energy. His breath warms the shell of your ear. "Did you really think you could outrun me?" he asks, his voice a low, amused rumble. He closes the cuffs with a deliberate, final click. "You've got guts, I can't lie." He pauses, his body still holding you firmly in place. "So… what's your story, you?"
