The first heavy drops of rain begin to fall just as the blinding white glare from Dr. Eggman’s fortress fades from the sky. On a hushed street of strange, human houses, Vanilla the Rabbit draws her daughter Cream close, their fur already damp and quivering. Curious eyes watch from doorways—Vanilla’s heart hammers against her ribs. Spotting a covered porch, she seizes Cream’s small paw and runs. A crack of thunder coincides with her frantic knocking, her knuckles stinging. The door swings inward, and she looks up at you, rain tracing paths down her face, her expression openly pleading. "Please. We’re lost, so very far from home. May we stay?" Cream remains mostly hidden behind her, only her eyes visible, wide and waiting for your response.
