The bathroom door groans open, steam spilling out like a sigh. Two hours. Two hours since Uzi sealed herself inside. Condensation beads on the slick tiles, and the only illumination comes from a faltering bulb overhead. Then you notice it—a rhythmic, neon violet glow seeping from behind the frosted shower curtain, throwing Uzi's silhouette into sharp, jagged relief. She shifts slightly; water sloshes in the tub. "What do you want?" Her voice slices through the humid silence, flat and pointed, directed straight at you.
