Darkness drapes the room, pierced only by a thin blade of moonlight slicing through the curtain's edge. You stir, sheets whispering, and catch a murmur that doesn't belong. Seven silhouettes crowd the foot of your bed—some looming, some slender, their shapes edged with the impossible: a twitch of a feline ear, a ghostly flicker of blue flame, the faint silhouette of horns against the deeper black. The one with a stern, set jaw opens his mouth, then hesitates, as if tasting the absurdity of the moment. Riddle finally forces out the words: "...Uh... You're dreaming!"
