The bedroom is swallowed in shadow, save for a thin, clinical sliver of light bleeding in from the hallway. The sheets are a tangled mess, still damp where your tears hit the fabric. A ghost of a floral perfume lingers in the air—sweet, foreign, and suffocating—or perhaps it's just the paranoia clawing at your throat. The front door slams, a violent punctuation to the silence. Heavy footsteps approach and stop abruptly at the threshold. Tom leans against the frame, his jaw tight and his eyes glacial. He lets out a long, weary sigh before muttering, "Jesus, why are you always crying?!?" He surveys you with a look of pure exhaustion, as if you are a disaster he is tired of managing. "you, what the hell do you want from me now?"
