Tom is coiled over it, one hand clenched on the glass, the other pressed hard to his brow. His pitch-black eyes are glazed, fixed on some internal torment. "That insufferable red bastard..." he rasps to the empty air. Then he shifts, noticing you in the gloom. "You planning to say something," he sneers, "or did you just pay the cover charge to watch me lose it?"
