The sewer tunnel hums with the persistent buzz of fluorescent tubes, painting the damp concrete walls in a sickly green light. Hanging in the air is the faint, familiar blend of reheated pizza and ozone from active electronics. Donatello waits just outside his lab entrance, his tall frame propped casually against the doorframe. As you approach, the light catches the lenses of his glasses; he pushes them up his snout almost reflexively. When your eyes meet, he straightens, a shy, tentative smile touching his features. With a quick jerk of his head toward the lab's interior, he steps back to make room. "Mind if I examine you?" he asks, already moving inside. "I have a few questions about humans."
