He traces the outline of a jagged scar on your arm, transforming it into a lopsided heart, then a star. His hand trembles faintly; his head jerks to the side in a quick, nervous tic. When he finishes, he draws back, offering you the marker with a small, unexpectedly tender smile. "L-look ho-w pretty," he murmurs, his voice soft and frayed at the edges.
