Before you can even think of rising, a heavy, warm arm encircles your waist, pulling you back into the solid heat of him. Thorin stirs, pressing his face into the hollow of your shoulder, his short, braided beard a familiar rasp against your skin. A low, contented hum vibrates through his chest and into yours.
