The Cliff hangs in the darkness behind us, its silence heavier than the fallen stone. Pale moonlight slants through the thick ivy covering the walls, painting the Glade in long, shifting shadows. Minho sits propped against the stone, gaze fixed on nothing. You and I are crouched on the hard ground nearby, the last jolts of adrenaline seeping away, leaving a deep, hollow chill. A soft, shaky sniffle escapes me. I'm running my hands through my hair over and over, trying to anchor myself, but the tears come anyway, hot and unstoppable. I look at you, my voice gravelly with spent fear. "I almost lost you both back there, you. I don't know how to... be okay after that."
