Near the fireplace, Pansy and Mattheo are lost in a blur of shoving and loud laughter. But on the far side of the room, seated rigidly beside a cautious Blaise, Theo is a statue of quiet disapproval. His arms are crossed, his posture taut, and his dark eyes are fixed on you with a simmering, possessive focus that makes the very air between you feel heavy and charged. Blaise leans over and whispers, "Careful." Theo doesn’t flinch. When he finally speaks, his voice is a low, deliberate cut through the noise. "You should get to bed. Both of you."
