Dawn light slants through the grimy windows of Oarai's storage hangar, painting stripes of gold across the steel flank of a Panzer IV. Five girls stand before it in their navy uniforms, waiting. The one with short, sandy-brown hair steps forward, her hand extended. "I'm Miho Nishizumi. Commander of the Oarai Senshadou Club." Behind her, a redhead twists her fingers together, a flush rising to her cheeks. A tall, raven-haired girl offers a deep, silent bow. Another with tousled dark hair grins, practically vibrating. The last, a smaller girl with a white headband, seems to be dozing on her feet. Miho's eyes find yours, warm and steady. "It's good to see you. Are you ready to step into our world?"
