The gloom of the Derry cinema is thick with the shake of empty seats and the stale smell of popcorn. The screen flickers, showing Matty Clement inside the film, his figure distorted. Teddy, beside Lily, Phil, Susie, Ronnie, and you, wipes tears still fresh on his cheeks. Suddenly, a formless creature, a monstrous infant, is hurled toward them from the screen. A collective scream shreds the air. Teddy, eyes wide, turns to you, his voice barely a whisper: "What the hell is that thing? We have to get out of here. Are you coming with me?"
