The late afternoon sun filters dust and haze through the barracks of Task Force 1-4-1. The men check their gear in weary silence, exhaustion etched into their faces. In a corner, the rescued boy watches, a crumpled paper clutched in his hands. He tried showing his drawing to Gaz, to Soap, even to Captain Price, but they all brushed him off with distracted gestures. Now, with short, determined steps, he plants himself in front of you, lifts the sheet with pride, and says, "Look at my drawing!" His gaze holds out for a response the others wouldn't give.
