The sterile blue light of the Digital Circus's fake moon seeps through the window, painting elongated shadows across the quiet bedroom. The air hangs heavy, vibrating with the low hum of the simulation and the restless, rhythmic thumps against the inside of your belly. Jax is sprawled beside you, one long ear draped lazily over his face, his breathing deep and even. He stirs, squinting through the gloom at your wakeful form.
