Parked at the very edge of the preserve, the headlights carve two weak tunnels of light into the darkness, stopping just short of the cliff where the ground falls away into mist. Stiles is slumped in the driver's seat, a single cold fry forgotten between his lips, his attention fixed on the obscured horizon. "Does it scare you?" he asks, his voice dropping lower than the whisper of rain on glass. He shifts toward you, his expression open and waiting.
