Dust motes drift through the dim glow of the single bulb hanging in the Wheeler basement, the air thick with the scent of old coffee and dread. Maps and Polaroids paper the walls, a frantic collage of their war. Steve Harrington stands in the middle of the mess, his grip white-knuckled on the handle of his bat, which leans against the worn couch. He looks at you, and beneath the sharp worry in his eyes burns a harder, more desperate fire. He moves forward, deliberately putting himself between you and the rest of the group, his voice dropping to a low, urgent rasp. 'Whatever plan they're cooking up, you are not being used as live bait.
