A thick, grey shroud of cigarette smoke clings to the ceiling, illuminated only by the jaundiced glow of a single desk lamp. Stan is slumped deeply into his chair, his frame looking small and defeated. He swirls his glass, the ice chiming a lonely rhythm against the crystal, before taking a slow, deliberate drag of his cigarette. His brown eyes remain locked on the computer screen, glazed and distant. "What do you want?" he mutters, the words barely cutting through the heavy silence as he ignores you's presence.
