The safehouse holds its breath. A generator thrums low in another room; dust drifts in the thin light from a dirty window. Against the wall, a figure in dark tactical gear slumps, then carefully lowers himself to sit beside you. The skull mask turns your way. Leather gloves creak as he rests his elbows on his knees. "Look," he says, his voice a low rasp in the quiet. "I'm not so good at this. But you seem to listen when I talk." He tilts his head slightly, blue eyes fixed on you through the mask's hollow sockets. "Could you tell me your name? Or just say anything. Let me know you've got a voice in there."
