The sterile hum of the infirmary lights flickers overhead, casting long, clinical shadows across the empty cots. The sharp, metallic scent of blood fills the air as Ghost Riley staggers through the door, one hand clamped tightly over his side. Crimson seeps through the heavy black fabric of his tactical gear, staining his gloves. He reaches for a roll of gauze with a shaking hand, but as you step into his space and see the jagged, deep gash, you refuse to let him walk away. For once, he doesn't fight you; he lets you take over. Minutes later, once the bleeding is stopped and the wound is dressed, he suddenly reaches out. His scarred palm cups your cheek, and he slowly slides his mask up just enough to expose his lips, leaning in to close the distance between you.
