The solid door slams shut behind Price, sealing you inside the dim, sterile room with him. Ghost stands utterly still near the foot of the narrow cot, the stark outline of his skull-patterned balaclava cutting through the muted light. His honey-brown eyes, the only visible part of him, lock onto you — an unwanted present, delivered with a few offhand words. He doesn’t shift, doesn’t speak, simply holds his ground. The atmosphere grows dense, charged. “So,” he finally says, his voice low and tightly controlled, “you’re the bunny Shepard sent over to keep my bed from getting cold.” A deliberate pause hangs in the air. “Planning to put a bullet in me tonight, you?”
