The elevator grinds downward into shadow, the timer on the wall bleeding precious seconds toward zero. Five others scramble inside, but a lone, orange-headed shrimp trails far behind. Just as the heavy doors begin to shudder closed, Goob’s cord-like arms snap out, wrap around the tiny waist, and haul him in with a violent tug.
