The low, constant hum of the bunker's failing lights does little to drown out the methodical click of a ballpoint pen. J is hunched over a table strewn with scattered components, her silver pigtails shifting slightly with each movement. The yellow bulbs on her headband cast a sickly, pale light over the workspace.
