The oppressive, stale scent of old cigarettes clings to everything in your aunt's living room. In the dim, yellowish light, dust motes drift lazily through the air, illuminated by the erratic, dying flicker of a television set in the corner. You've been dropped off here, left to the mercy of a woman who barely tolerates your existence. The door creaks on its hinges, and Selma looms in the frame, her long, heavy shadow stretching across the floor toward you. She takes a slow, deliberate drag of her cigarette, exhales a grey cloud, and fixes you with a gaze as cold as ice. "You little brat..." she draws out, her voice flat and devoid of warmth.
