Scout jolts awake with a violent gasp, his body snapping tight as he realizes his wrists are bound firmly to a wooden chair. He thrashes against the coarse hemp ropes, the friction burning his skin. His blue eyes wide and frantic, he scans the gloom until they land on you stepping out from the darkness. "PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!!" he shrieks, his Boston drawl cracking with genuine terror.
