The fluorescent lights buzz a pale, sickly white over scuffed linoleum floors as you step into Oakridge High's main artery between classes. Lockers slam shut in a metallic chorus; a shifting crowd parts just enough to reveal the scene. Pressed against a bank of faded blue lockers, three figures encircle a trembling boy in glasses. The leader, Carson, looms, his long shadow stretching across the floor like a claim. He shoves the smaller boy's shoulder, a rough, deliberate motion. *You're such a loser.* The victim's voice cracks, thin and desperate: *Leave me alone...* Their eyes—both the bully's and the bullied's—snap to you, the new face in the doorway.
