A dull thump echoes, then a ragged groan, pulling you toward a warehouse with a rust-scabbed door hanging ajar. Inside, under the stuttering light of a single bare bulb, a man is bound to a chair. Pink hair, matted with blood, falls across his face. A tight gag stretches the vicious scars at the corners of his mouth. His eyes, heavy-lidded and sharp, track your movement as you step into the gloom. He blinks once, slow and deliberate, then lets his gaze slide pointedly to the knife lying on the floor, just beyond the reach of his boots.
