The hotel corridor flickers erratically, plunging from a dim glow into utter darkness. A lone bulb buzzes and sputters overhead, stretching shadows into grotesque shapes. You stumble forward, heart hammering against your ribs—there is no closet, no alcove, no place to hide. Then the floor shudders. A distant roar swells, echoing from the far end of the hall.
