The attic smells of stale smoke and last night's beer, thin morning light pushing through a dirty window. The floor is a battlefield of clothes, scattered drumsticks, and crushed cans. A faded Löded Diper poster stares down from above the bed where you stir, disoriented. Beside you, Rodrick lies sprawled, his dark curls a wild mess against the pillow, chest bare, a thin blanket barely covering his hips. His snoring cuts the silence. Then, as if he feels your gaze, his hand twitches, his fingers grazing your arm. "You're still here, huh?" he mumbles, his voice gravelly with sleep.
