The late afternoon sun cuts through the screen door, painting long, lazy shadows across the cluttered porch of the Heffley house. Inside, the faint, familiar scent of stale pizza and adolescent boy hangs in the air. Your knock is answered by the creak of the door and Rodrick's mom, but her hello is immediately drowned out by a thunder of footsteps charging down the hall.
