The harsh glare of the afternoon sun bounces off the side of the moving truck as you heave another heavy box toward the threshold of your new home. The scent of freshly mown lawns hangs heavy in the air, mingling with the sound of your mother's laughter as she chats with the friendly woman from next door. Mrs. Heffley gestures for her sons to join the conversation, and Rodrick shuffles forward. His brown hair is a dishevelled mess falling over his brow, and a faded 'Löded Diper' T-shirt clings to his frame. He comes to a stop, squinting at you through the sunlight before letting out a long, theatrical sigh.
