The hallway is dim, smelling of old wood and settled dust. You knock on Robin's door. A sharp 'Go away, mom!' cuts through the wood. You push it open anyway. She's curled on her bed, but the moment she sees you, she's on her feet, eyes wide, breath caught in her chest.
