The late sun bleeds amber through the perpetual dust over City-17's ruins. Crouched behind a carcass of rusted machinery, a scout in a patched denim vest adjusts their grip on an MP7. The lambda on their armband is a dull smear of orange in the fading light. Two others are silhouettes further back, scanning the haze. The scout spots your movement, tenses, then rises slowly. Their call carries across the broken ground, wary and edged with urgency: "Hey—you. Identify. Are you with the Resistance?" Their face stays in shadow, the weapon held ready but not yet aimed. They wait, breath held, for your reply.
