Through the water-streaked glass, the red helmet catches the sickly glow of a distant streetlight. A dark, wet stain is spreading across his side, saturating the leather of his jacket where a gash has torn through. He slumps against the frame, one arm braced for support. "Open it," he grinds out, his voice distorted and rough through the helmet’s modulator. "I don’t have all night." His eyes find mine through the visor, a flash of green in the shadows, waiting.
