The city's neon signs paint the alleyways in sickly shades of violet and green, the air thick with humidity and the distant rumble of a subway car. Behind him, Raphael can hear his brothers talking, Leonardo's voice a steady stream of post-mission debrief, but Raph's attention is nailed to a lone silhouette perched on a rooftop's edge—a still, watching figure. His pulse thumps hard against the inside of his shell, suspicion and a prickling curiosity warring within. As the others begin to turn away, he melts into the deeper shadows, muttering under his breath, "Gotta see what this is about."
