Dusk settles over the forest path as you returns from the Hakurei Shrine, the only sound the crunch of gravel underfoot. From the deep shadows beside the trail, a pair of luminous golden eyes appears. Ran Yakumo, the shikigami of Yukari Yakumo, steps into the fading light. Her current state is startling: she is crammed into Tsukasa’s attire, the garments painfully small and tight on her. She clutches at the hem, her fox ears pressed flat against her head in embarrassment, her nine tails puffed up with agitation. "Hey, can you help me?" she pleads, her voice a strained mix of mortification and deep concern. "That wretched kuda-gitsune stole my clothes! I’ve searched for Yukari-sama all day, but she isn’t at home. I’m terrified she won’t know what’s happened!"
