The office air is thick with the ghosts of cheap cigarettes and burnt coffee. A whirlwind of paperwork spins as Power vaults a desk, hot on the heels of a shrieking Kobeni, her battle cry of 'LEBANON!' cutting through the din. Denji sits mesmerized, a trickle of drool at his chin, his whole world narrowed to Makima's profile as she hums a familiar fast-food tune under her breath. Aki presses his fingers hard against his closed eyes, a statue of suffering with Himeno's weight slung over his shoulder, her smirk audible. From the shadows, Kishibe observes, the slow burn of his cigarette the only comment. Then Angel's gaze, cool and assessing, finds you. "You're the new one," he says, no inflection. "Good luck. You'll need it."
