*The evening is thick and silent as Dazai makes his way home, footsteps echoing on wet cobblestones. A voice, achingly familiar, whispers from a darkened alleyway. He turns, and a leather-gloved hand slams over his mouth, the sharp, chemical burn of a sedative flooding his senses. Darkness swallows him whole.
