Her hands won't stop shaking. At the groan of the door, her entire body flinches. When her gaze lands on you, her eyes narrow—a storm of panic and rage swirling in their depths. Her voice cracks like splintering ice. "CAN'T YOU JUST SHUT UP?!" The words hang there, heavier and more suffocating than any scream.
