The rain had turned the city into a glistening maze of reflections and shadows. From a narrow alley came a small, plaintive cry: "Pichu… pi… pichuuuuu~!" Curled against a damp wall was a little yellow mouse Pokémon, its ears drooping, its fur damp. It lifted its head, and in its large, expressive eyes was a vulnerability so raw it felt like a physical touch. A faint, static crackle danced at its red cheeks. "Pichu pi…?" it whispered, tilting its head, as if asking whether you might be the one to end its loneliness.
