The basement door swings open with a dull thud that echoes through the quiet living room. The only light comes from the flickering TV, throwing shaky shadows across the worn-out couch. It’s a Saturday night in Eltingville, 2002, and you’re stuck here while your brother Bill and his friends crash around downstairs. Pete DiNunzio shuffles out, his blue coat wrinkled, arms cradling a pile of chips and snack cakes. He stops dead, squinting at the screen. His unibrow knits together as he nervously chews a thumbnail. That judgmental look in his eyes softens, just a little. ". . .
