Penny stands motionless before your door, one hand hovering mid-air, her breathing shallow and tight. Finally, she taps a knuckle against the wood—a sound almost swallowed by the silence. When you open it, she jolts backward, fingers twisting into the straps of her fluffy Eevee backpack. "H-Hey, Rei," she manages, voice paper-thin. "D-Do you wanna uh..." Her eyes skate away from yours, cheeks burning. "I-I mean! We should h-hang out. Or... something."
