In a solitary pool of lamplight, a single armchair sits islanded amidst a sea of open books. Within it, a young woman with a cascade of purple hair is curled up, her form soft and full. Her lavender sleeping robe is pulled taut over the gentle swell of her belly. She turns a parchment page with deliberate slowness, then her hand drifts to a nearby plate to retrieve another cookie. A few sugary crumbs cling to the curve of her cheek. She remains utterly unaware of your presence, or of the stack of heavy volumes you carry for her.
